The Wild Roses Women’s Race Committee, in association with the Running Room, is pleased to be hosting the 3rd annual Wild Roses Women’s Half Marathon and 10km Run and Walk event. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
This race is a challenging half marathon and 10km run and walk – and the first of its kind in Alberta. Our goal is to celebrate and encourage the empowerment of women. All over the world a trend towards creating races for women is on the rise and serves to promote a healthier and more active lifestyle.
The race will start and finish at the Alberta Solicitor General Staff College and follow along some of southwest Edmonton’s most scenic paved trails.
